First-of-its-Kind Eco-Friendly Community Hub in Bettani
January 21, 2026: In a major step for regional development, a high-level Zoom meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Lakki Marwat announced establishment of an integrated, eco-friendly school, vocational training centre, and e-Clinic in Subdivision Bettani. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of Taaleem Foundation and other key stakeholders.
The landmark project is being funded by the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Briefing on the project, the Chairman of Taaleem Foundation highlighted that this will be the first project of its kind in Pakistan. The campus is designed as a community-empowering hub, featuring classrooms, vocational training laboratories, a digital e-Clinic, and staff housing. Its innovative design relies on solar energy for power and temperature regulation, emphasizing environmental sustainability.
Initially, the facility will serve 200 students, providing access to modern education, skills development, and essential healthcare services through the e-Clinic.
