Taaleem Foundation (TF) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) to establish an eco-friendly school and Skills Center at Baiker, Phelawagh, District Dera Bugti. This transformative initiative, backed by an investment of Rs. 200 million, aims to provide quality education and vocational training to underserved communities in the region.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak, MD/CEO OGDC, and Mr. Asim Mushtaq, CEO Taaleem Foundation. The project is expected to be completed within one year.
This collaboration reflects OGDC’s vision of advancing education, climate-smart infrastructure, and sustainable livelihoods, while reinforcing Taaleem Foundation’s mission of empowering communities through inclusive learning opportunities.
The new facility will serve as a multipurpose community complex, integrating:
Special emphasis will be placed on female youth empowerment, with training opportunities in sewing, embroidery, and computer literacy. Awareness workshops on hygiene and nutrition will also be held to promote holistic community well-being.
